Review: Rated Ex by Ella Fox

Rules of surviving a breakup:
1. Do avoid your ex like he’s a bill collector
2. Do block his emails and change your phone number if necessary
3. Do bury your head in the sand while you try (and fail) to get over him
4. Don’t talk to him when he shows up while you’re in the middle of the blind date from hell
5. Don’t agree to go home with him when says he needs to talk to you
Let’s hope I don’t come to regret breaking rules four and five within minutes of Mason Cleary swooping back into my life.
REVIEW:
Another day, another Read Me Romance book, with another new to me author, Ella Fox. This book was scorching hot. *fans self, drinks iced water* I loved the synopsis heading into this book. Mason and Rory’s past history provides enough of a substance that I am not left floundering around in a sea of insta-love.
Mason is your classic alpha male, I loved his power, determination, and confidence. Rory, complimented him flawlessly and the two of them together were burning up my speakers. I loved how there wasn’t some big, messy, drama. This book cut to the point, no extra fluff, and showed Mason and Rory working through their miscommunications and problems head on. I can’t tell you how refreshing that is, so much so that I plan to check out more of Ella Fox’s books.
It was a nice balance of serious, sprinkled with moments of humor. I think if I had to have one grievance, it was that the word “pussy” was said a little too much. Otherwise, I enjoyed this quick little audiobook.
