Review: Merry Misfits by Cambria Hebert

SYNOPSIS:

Once upon a time…
A lost prince was robbed of the magic of the holiday season.
Ribbons, glitter, tree-trimming, and love all denied for hateful reasons.
What once was lost is now wondrously found.
And, naturally, holiday shenanigans will abound.
New York City is blanketed in pure white snow,
the perfect date night setting to make your heart grow.
Beneath the twinkling lights, the scent of fresh pine mingles,
and the warmth of chocolate-filled mugs chase away any grinchy-grinch tingles.
Zip up your coat and tug on your hat
because spending this holiday season with your favorite misfits is where it’s at.
For even the grumpiest grump of the bunch will have to admit
‘tis the season to be a merry misfit.

Experience the magic of New York City at Christmas with Fletcher and the rest of the misfit family as they create family traditions and memories through special dates and holiday fun.
Be prepared for lots of fluff, laughter, grumbling grumps, swoony romance, and surprises!

REVIEW:

Well I met Fletcher earlier this year and I absolutely adored him so when I found out that Cambria Herbert was writing a little holiday novella featuring my favorite cutie, I could wait to read it. And it did not disappoint, this book features glimpses of all the wonderful misfits and how they indulge in holiday cheer.

But most of all, it features Ethan’s endless love for Fletcher and how he is willing to go to any lengths to make sure Fletcher is happy and safe. Whether it’s sending Fletcher’s brothers to check up on him and make sure he safe or giving in to Fletcher’s request to buy the ugliest Charlie Brown tree on the lot, Ethan will stop at nothing to make Fletcher’s holiday perfect. I loved the comradery and family vibes in this story. Even more delightful is Fletcher’s giant heart just continues to give and give and it makes me fall a little more in love with him each time.

There are definitely some stolen steamy moments and plenty of heartfelt conversations, but most of all, there are the warm fuzzy feels that even the Grinch can’t touch in the story. I adored revisiting these characters, seeing most of them shine in their respective happily-ever-afters, and I can’t wait to read Beau’s book, which is sure to bring a smile to my face.
